Freddy Cicerchia

Freddy is a retired wine professional and wine educator who was Vice President of the sixth largest wine importer and wholesaler in the United States for over 40 years. He currently works as a wine consultant and collaborates with his daughter to write articles that help people learn about wine.

After graduating with a degree in Finance from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania, Freddy helped to run his family’s wine, beer, and liquor distributorship, N.P. Beverages. He went on to work at Gilman Wine & Spirits, and later became Vice President of On-Premise Restaurant Sales for the Martignetti Companies, as well as co-running their largest fine wine division. With 48 years in the business, he has traveled extensively in wine regions around the world and has even worked a harvest in Napa with Opus One.

In addition to his career in wine, Freddy is an endurance athlete and cyclist who teaches fitness and practices martial arts. He lives with his wife in Manchester by the Sea and is an avid gardener.
